Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of labelling machinery. They require a Project Engineer / Manager to work as part of a multi-disciplined team, to control and manage labelling system projects from order placement to machine despatch.
The jobholder will work with the Sales, Design and Purchasing Offices to assist in ensuring that all designs permit the efficient and most cost effective manufacture and procurement of equipment to achieve the desired labelling machine specification. You will ensure that each project has a time-plan and machine estimate, which is reviewed on a regular basis and also that the machine system build is completed to set timescales and cost. You will ensure that the machine label application meets with the demands of the customer specification and also that all machine systems are compliant with the customers specification and all relevant legislation, in particular the Safety of Machinery Directive. You will also be required to assist the Sales Office in the successful completion of labelling machine system acceptance trials, ensure that the companies ISO 9001 procedures are followed, if required attend customers premises to assist with site surveys, installation, commissioning and the training of customers personnel and assist where appropriate in the continued improvement and development of machine systems.
Candidates should have min ONC in an engineering discipline, experience of project engineering particularly electro-mechanical machinery. Good communication skills, a presentable image and driving licence ar required.
