Our client are currently seeking a Project Controller based in Warrington, Cheshire, but with time spent in the office of their client in Central Manchester.
You will provide a scheduling service for all Project Management, Engineering, Construction and Construction Management work undertaken the Company on behalf of their client.
You will be responsible for:
•Acting as primary point of contact for Project Manager and Project Team for all matters relating to Project schedules and resources •Monitoring current, and assessing future resource needs for the project and programme, through analysis of work load at project level •Scheduling, monitoring and controlling resources, by role, at project level •Reporting Project Management information and Key Performance Indicators •Producing specific and detailed reports for Programme and Project Managers •Maintenance and analysis of Level 3 schedule data •Identifying slippages, significant float erosion and recommend recovery actions •Liaising with contractor and sub-contractor project controls as appropriate to ensure progress is reported accurately •Production of ‘what ifs' e.g. to demonstrate impact of additional/less resource on project deliverables •Tracking and expediency of Change Control •Ensure local Change Management process is adhered to •Ensuring Risk is managed and monitored at project level within Primavera, in line with local standards and processes
Qualifications and Experience.
To be successful in this role you will have proven competence in Planning/Scheduling and Project Controls with good Microsoft Project skills.
You should have a degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Business or similar preferred.
Relevant training or courses in Successful Project Delivery and Essentials of Project Management with External reading and course work in scheduling, planning, estimating, cost control, document control, project controls and earned value management are also desirable.
A good level of knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Project is essential for this role. The candidate must have used the tool extensively to manage and progress small to medium sized projects.
