Our client is a leading global provider of consulting, engineering, construction and management services in water, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors. Our client is currently seeking a Local Project Controls Manager to be based in Whitehaven, Cumbria on a project related to nuclear decommissioning.

The key purpose of the role is to support the various day to day cost management activities required by a major client's project controls team and act as the functional lead for Cost Estimation.

Another key part of this role will be close liaison with clients identifying critical commercial issues through the dissemination of large volumes of cost data and the production of high level summary reports.

Qualifications and Experience.

To be successful for this role the ideal candidate should have a detailed understanding of the complexities and requirements of the NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) Cost Management processes and procedures having experience working for or alongside Tier 1 Contractors in the provision of Life Time Plans at all levels of detail.

The candidate should also be able to demonstrate the ability to produce independent estimates and have the ability to analyse and benchmark construction estimates. They will have strong IT skills including the main Microsoft packages and a basic understanding of other tools used within Commercial Services - for example P3e; [EMail Removed] Cost Benefit analysis and will enjoy excellent communication skills and have the ability to work both independently and with others within a team environment. Understanding of the commercial activities involved with the delivery of Nuclear Decommissioning programmes of work is also required.
