We are looking for a Project Manager (Security Systems) with a qualification/degree or similar experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control and Instrumentation etc and expericne in a related Project Engineering environment.
An understanding of Integrated Security Systems, Access Control, CCTV and PIDs is essential and experience in the project management of Integrated Security Systems, Access Control and/or CCTV systems and of working under, or management of, CDM (Construction Design Management a benefit
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager of the Security Business Unit the Project Manager (Security Systems will be required to manage, in a hands on role, the design and implementation of complex multi-disciplinary high technology computer based Security systems within budget and contractual time-scales.
Day to day duties will include:-
• Managing the Design and Engineering of Integrated Security Systems either alone or as part of a team and ensuring documentation is produced to enable the successful implementation of the project. • Planning and controlling the management of sub-contract resources • Providing technical support to the Sales Department during bid preparation • Liaising with the Client throughout the Contract • Negotiating changes with the customer • Agreeing costs and/or time variances with the customer. • Providing feedback of real and forecast data for Projects • Leading, controlling and motivating teams of Project Engineers • Ensuring that the company operates within requisite regulations
All candidates for the position of Project Manager (Security Systems) should have good written, oral and presentation skills, the ability to work well within a team and proven negotiation skills.
A willingness to travel both in the UK and abroad at short notice for reasonable periods of time is required as is occasional additional hours due to the nature of the position
