A fantastic opportunity to join our Client in a newly created role of Head of Transport Services/Director of Transport Services in their office in Warrington. You will become part of a worldwide team of over 6,000 professionals involved in designing, managing and implementing some of the most exciting leading edge programmes and projects in the water, infrastructure, environmental and energy sectors!
Building on their success as the number one Professional Consultancy in the UK Water Industry (and winners of the APM awards for the last two years) our clients have now launched a Project Services Business Unit to harness their project and programme management expertise for the benefit of their rapidly growing customer base.
To join this team you must be an individual with an impressive track record and have a passion for Project and Programme Management excellence, outstanding skills in customer care and a burning desire for success.
Reporting to the Regional Managing Director for Programmes and the Director of Project Services you will build a successful transport division (with emphasis on rail), based upon project and programme management services and develop new contacts, nurture existing contacts and work with own contacts to gain business.
You will be a “thought leader” in the various transport areas and in conjunction with others support the further development of project management tools and systems relevant to the transport sector. Our client has an advanced Project Delivery System (PDS) and various tools including mPRISM and mPROVE.
You will produce annual business plans and budgets as part of the Project Services Business Unit and achieve revenue and profitability targets. You will also need to ensure delivery of a quality product and achieve customer service excellence.
To be successful in this role you will need strong experience within the transport sector (with emphasis on rail) either with a client, contractor or consultancy. You will have experience of working on multi million pound infrastructure projects and have excellent client contacts within the industry.
You will have a proven record of developing business. The role may require travel as while work at the moment is based in the UK, it may extend across other areas in Europe, Middle East and India.
