Vacancy: Electrical Work Package Manager / Project Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: £60,000 per year
Hours: 35 per week.
Primary Purpose of the Role: Responsible for managing the electrical systems portion of the Company Area (£25m) including the turnkey subcontracts for OHLE, Traction Power and DNO supply provision.
Key Tasks: We are looking for established Project managers seeking a new challenge, with the following attributes and key responsibilities. •Experience of Project Managing a successful construction project ideally in a Rail/Light Rail environment or similar. •Motivating and driving a high performance programme delivery team. •Ensuring all aspects of programme governance are in place and functional i.e.; programme board, change control, quality control, project costings and budget management, project management processes and methodology. •As Project leader, develop and communicate clear project strategies, plans, objectives and interfaces within a strong matrix management environment •Exercise full commercial and contractual control of projects and aggressively manage all project costs and maximise variation order opportunities, to deliver or improve gross margins. •Conduct regular and detailed project reviews to effectively manage progress, identify and mitigate risk and produce appropriate customer and internal project reports. Education & Qualifications: Ideally be educated to degree level with appropriate Chartered status and be a member of the Association of Project Management. However the candidate's track record will count for more than qualifications.

Additional Information: We are looking for permanent appointment but would consider a fixed term contract
