Our 2,000 nuclear employees operate in the fields of decommissioning, reactor and laboratory services and project and programme management in countries across the globe, including Canada, the former Soviet Union and Korea.

The demand for our expertise continues to grow which means we’re looking to develop our team and are therefore seeking a fully experienced Pipe Stress Engineer to join us, in our offices based in Knutsford, Cheshire. Experience in the Nuclear and/or Defence industries would be beneficial but is not essential

The main responsibilities of the role will be:
• Detailed pipe stress analysis calculations using PSA5 and or Caesar II pipe stress analysis packages is a perquisite for this role.
• Reviewing and checking pipe design drawings and calculations in compliance with relevant coding and company procedures.
• Liaison with other engineering and project disciplines.
• A working knowledge of BS and ANSI codes would be a distinct advantage.

Experienced Required:
• A mechanical degree, ideally with a stress/structural integrity analysis bias
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience in a safety critical industry (eg railways, aerospace)
• A working knowledge of packages such as U and/or ANSYS
• Substantial industry experience
