The demand for our expertise continues to grow which means we’re looking to develop our team and are therefore seeking a fully experienced Pipe Stress Engineer to join us, in our offices based in Knutsford, Cheshire. Experience in the Nuclear and/or Defence industries would be beneficial but is not essential
The main responsibilities of the role will be: • Detailed pipe stress analysis calculations using PSA5 and or Caesar II pipe stress analysis packages is a perquisite for this role. • Reviewing and checking pipe design drawings and calculations in compliance with relevant coding and company procedures. • Liaison with other engineering and project disciplines. • A working knowledge of BS and ANSI codes would be a distinct advantage.
Experienced Required: • A mechanical degree, ideally with a stress/structural integrity analysis bias • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience in a safety critical industry (eg railways, aerospace) • A working knowledge of packages such as U and/or ANSYS • Substantial industry experience
