Our client, Our Client, a BioPharmaceutical Company based in the North West (Manchester) is seeking a Bioanalytical / Bioassay Scientist to join them on a Permanent Basis. Salary package - £30,000 - £36,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a wide range of biochemical and cell-based assays for the detection, quantification and characterisation of recombinant therapeutic glycoproteins, monoclonal antibodies and antibody-conjugated products. You will be required to participate on cross-functional project teams, interpret, present and deliver data to appropriate stakeholders, and interact with other groups on a scientific and strategic level. Requirements: Proven experience in the detection, quantification and characterisation of recombinant proteins, in particular antibody products. Qualifications: M.Sc. or Ph. D in Biochemistry together with at least 4 years' relevant experience. Lower qualifications will be considered if the applicant can demonstrate significant practical experience. The successful candidate will have "M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biological, analytical or pharmaceutical sciences "Minimum of 4-7 years laboratory experience in the bioassay area of biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is required. "Significant experience in basic techniques of protein quantification & characterisation (LC-MS, Gel electrophoresis, Western blots and ELISA). "Familiar with Flow cytometry and multi-mode plate reader assays (absorbance, fluorescence intensity & fluorescence polarisation, FRET-based assays, reporter gene assays). "Hands-on proficiency with biochemical and cell-based assays for therapeutic proteins, especially antibody and antibody-conjugated products. These include potency assays, antigen-binding assays, neutralising antibody assays and immune function assays.
