We have career opportunities for mechanical engineers at various levels of experience through to individuals with a proven track record in the production of engineering/technical deliverables on small to medium sized multidiscipline design projects. Experience in the nuclear industry would be preferable, but is not essential.
Based at the Westlakes Science and Technology Park, the office specialises in nuclear decommissioning design projects and provides services to a number of major programmes across the clean-up and decommissioning, generation and defence sectors within the nuclear industry.
Mechanical Engineers will be responsible for project definition, preparation of conceptual and scheme designs, preparation of technical specifications, liaison with senior managers to ensure technical deliverables are delivered on time and to client requirements and production and checking of the detailed design deliverables and engineering drawings. The nature of the role will also require occasional work at client sites.
You will possess and Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and be Chartered MIMechE for more senior positions, or working towards Chartership. Experience of software packages i.e. AutoCAD, FE analysis software is an advantage together with familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products. Project engineering experience including design, project management and some site supervision is also beneficial. Knowledge of remote handling systems preferable but not essential and knowledge of mechanical building services including pressure vessels is advantageous.

Candidates will need to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance and should also be willing to undergo a security vetting process.
