My client is an international consultancy providing advice upon the development of natural resources, land and property, the management of the environment and the health and safety of people. They trade in the UK, Europe, Asia and undertake projects in other parts of the world. They have a reputation for meeting the challenges posed by large, complex projects and problems. They are currently recruiting various level Mechanical Buildings Services Engineers (Junior-Associate). The role will involve design, specification and installation overview of all Mechanical Services for Buildings. Other responsibilities will include condition surveys, conceptual design, detailed Design, calculations and preparation of drawings and representing the company at design team and site meetings.

You will have membership or be actively pursuing membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers. You will have experience in design of Mechanical Building Services preferably whilst employed by a Consulting Engineer or Design and Build Contractor. You will be familiar with Low Energy / Low Carbon technologies and solutions, passive design methods and solutions, Part L Building Regs, Planning Requirements, Renewable Energy technologies, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes. You will also be familiar with IES or TAS simulation software and SBEM an advantage and Hevacomp software for calculations. Familiarity with AutoCad an advantage but the vacancies are not Cad Operator grade, rather Engineer grade.
