Parkhouse Recruitment are working with their client a leading manufacturer of their bespoke product to source a reliable hands on Engineering Inspector for their Cheshire based Facility.
The ideal candidate will be from a mechanical engineering background with experience in a similar role. Your duties will consist of inspecting manufactured components, checking that they are correct to engineering drawings and checking tolerances using measurement equipment, for example checking measurements, checking threads, checking for burrs and cracks.
Experience
• Experience using Vernire's, Micrometers and Dial Test Indicators, as well as ring gauges and plug gauges.
• Knowledge of Liquid Penetration Inspection and Magnetic Particle Inspection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience of working in a machine shop manufacturing steel components.
• Ability to understand and read geometric tolerances, and can convert imperial and metric measurements.
