They supply a wide range of services, mostly in the area of hard asset maintenance and refurbishment. They also provide services in Power, Water,Gas, Rail and Highways. They work for Local Authorities, and central Government and selected large private organisations providing maintenance and repair services in Social housing, Environmental/Refuse Collection , Grounds, Property and highways. The breadth of their skills and capabilities as an organisation and their nationwide coverage ensures that they can offer a multi-disciplinary or multi-site service solution bespoke to their clients needs. They provide services including building fabric repair, M&E services, waste management, grounds maintenance, Infrastructure Repairs and Maintenance for utilities, Engineering, Design and Installation, Emergency Provision, Highways Maintenance Management, Refuse, Housing and Commercial Building Repair and Maintenance, and Consulting Services
Due to expansion they are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Gas compliance Manager to work alongside the current Group Compliance Manager, directing and leading the Gas Service activities across their portfolio Of properties. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who has previously worked on the tools in a Mechanical Engineering role within the Facilities field, and has ideally made the transition into a supervisory position, and is looking to further their knowledge and skill base within a specialist arena.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares daily, weekly and monthly schedules. Direct and supervise the activities of the Engineers Ensuring all works conducted are accomplished in accordance with regulation.
Ensures assigned work in accordance with specific procedures and technical standards. Ensures compliance with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures. Ensures the equipment within the gas network are safe for maintenance/ modification activities. Supervises all maintenance activities and ensures the compliance of procedures. Attends daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning meetings with different sections. Attends external meetings with third parties, government and local authorities for safe operations of the gas network. Follows up with third parties, government and local authorities work to ensure safety and security against potential sources of damage and accidents.
Conducts monthly audits on the Gas Network and submits audit reports for the discrepancies observed, ensures detailed discussion prior to implementation and highlights urgent items to line manager for corrective action.
Maintains contact and meets with maintenance personnel, contractors, and others.
Enforces the Company's Permit System on all the jobs performed
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering or ACS Appliances
A wealth of experience within a Gas Surveying or auditing within the Commercial an Domestic market sector Awareness of HSE policies and procedures.
