Our client are a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consultancy who provide engineering services, asset management and design services for the built environment. The company operates across remit of engineering and property management, from the initial pre-purchase or the design stage right through to maintenance and refurbishment of those properties. They have a team of highly experienced Engineers who are knowledgeable in all relevant areas in order to provide clients with a cost effective solution. Their client base ranges from property professionals such as building surveyors, architects, management surveyors, construction consultants, building owners, and building managers, in both the private and public sectors.
They have more than thirty years of experience within the engineering services industry which has given them a thorough understanding of the requirements of building owners and operators. They also fully understand the requirements of the occupants and the key objectives of my client are to provide good environmental comfort conditions in energy efficient premises. The core services that the company offers are:
• Maintenance Management The engineering systems are some of the most important assets and largest areas of expenditure in a property. The heating, ventilation, cooling, electrics, control systems, fire alarm, lifts and public health systems should all be correctly maintained to save money in the longer term.
Our client can review their client's existing maintenance regime and develop a maintenance specification for the building. they then manage and audit the ongoing contract to check compliance with the specification.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Prepare and manage engineering projects to include: specification, design, life cycle cost, equipment selection, planned maintenance programmes, dilapidations, acquisition and the preparation of & review of tender documentation. 2. Conduct surveys to gather field data e.g. asset collection. 3. Prepare and interpret engineering reports, drawings, layouts and other (visual) aids. 4. Perform Building Services Engineering duties surrounding the following; electrical systems, mechanical systems, and public health systems. 5. Work within the companies Health and Safety Policy and Environmental Policy. 6. Manage project issues, budgets, invoicing and schedules. 7. Have sound (good) working knowledge of European Economic Area Building Services Engineering standards, policies, and legislation.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Knowledge of applicable laws and building codes, safety legislation and approved code of practice e.g. L8. 2. Qualification to at least (NVQ3) in building services engineering e.g. Mechanical Engineering and three years experience (following qualification) or recognised Engineering Degree.
