Global leader in the field of transport and power are currently looking for a Maintenance Shift Technician to be based at their Chester site.
You will be responsible for: • The provision of fault finding expertise and assistance with examination and repair activities, on train fault diagnosis / rectification service, as directed by maintenance control for units in service. • Arranging and undertaking test runs to assist in fault finding and resolution of faults and undertake Simret testing of braking systems as required during test runs. • Investigating technical problems arising from the fleet maintenance and repair activities involved in servicing Class 175 DMUs. • Assisting with the Technical Review of documentation issued in support of maintenance and repair activities, special checks, modifications and experiments and to ensure that this complies with all aspects of the depot quality system.
You will have served a recognised apprenticeship & be qualified to ONC / HNC level, with relevant experience. You will possess good knowledge of vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI) & working instructions & have excellent technical knowledge covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing & vehicle building skills
