Parkhouse Recruitment are working with their client who design and manufacture power transmissions used in the steel industry to source a reliable and time served Multi skilled Machinist and Maintenance Fitter.
The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship and will have experience of use of a variety of machine tools including lathes, millers, borers and drills.
The successful applicant will have experience in servicing and maintaining medium to heavy gearboxes and plant equipment in a field role.
Predominately the site work will be pre planned, however on occasion because of our clients service contracts there can be urgent breakdowns. A proactive response is expected in order to get the plant operational with the minimum loss of time.
Our clients customers are based around the country and therefore occasionally staying overnight away from home is unavoidable.
