Our client, an NHS Trust Estates Dept. is currently recruiting for an Estates Officer (Engineering) and Estates Officer (Building) to be based on-site working for the Associate Director of Estates and Facilities.
The role is an 18 month interim position while the permanent salary is re-evaluated.
Applicants will preferably be working for another NHS Trust (or have experience) and looking for a career move to one of the largest hospital sites in the UK.
The successful applicant will be required to manage the M&E Services for a planned preventative maintenance programme, breakdown and repairs, energy consumption and all NHS and statutory compliance directives.
In addition the role will oversee minor refurbishment works carried out by sub- contractors/in-house staff and ensure that all records of repairs and maintenance are updated.
Background will ideally be within the NHS (or public sector estates), relevant engineering or build qualifications and be happy working on a contract basis with a view to the role becoming permanent.
