Electrical Maintenance Engineer required in Kentmere, Kendal
Purpose of the job:
To assist with the day to day maintenance of the Kentmere Mill
Main Tasks
Safely maintain, in working order, all manufacturing equipment.
Perform and develop preventative maintenance schedules, in conjunction with the Engineering Manager, in order to minimise breakdowns.
Produce reports on the performance of the systems as required by mill and corporate management.
Assist with the on-going revision of a library of all instrumentation manuals and drawings.
Provide out of hours cover for all breakdowns, on a rota basis with other maintenance and operations staff.
Supervise and assist electrical contractors with installation work as required from time to time.
Ensure adequate spares are held on site to minimise electrical breakdowns.
Recommend changes to control strategies to increase the efficiency of production.
To assist the mill with the implementation of project work.
Co-operate at all times with other Departments in matters relating to Production, Technical and Quality Assurance.
To assist with all other members of the Maintenance Department to contribute to an overall reduction of mechanical and electrical downtime.
