AUTOMATION COMMISSIONING & SITE SUPPORT ENGINEER
Our Client engineers solutions for safety, control and automation applications in various industries. Their services include completely integrated systems, panel building, sub assemblies, product development and on-site support for a wide range of applications.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the provision of high level technical support and assistance to their clients by means of on site visits, both UK and Worldwide for the purposes of commissioning, modifying, upgrading and maintaining process controls systems predominantly for safety applications. Typical industry sectors are oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pharmaceutical and nuclear processing.
Liaise with customers to establish their safety systems requirements
assess and interpret to provide practical solutions
Responsible for the production of site documentation as necessary.
Support the Service Manager in the production of internal and external training courses, and the presentation of such.
Working with the Materials Controller to purchase equipment and sub-systems.
Engineers are designated to undertake 24 hour call out cover, for a specified period, in support of Service contracts.
Our client actively encourages all members of staff employed in a professional capacity to become members of a professional body, such as the Institute of Measurement & Control or the Institute of Electrical Engineers etc. To this end the Company will fund annual membership of the institute of your choice within the engineering field.
You work 37.5 hours per week on a flexi time basis
Salary £18,000 – £23,000 p.a. dependent upon experience O.T.E: £35,000 p.a. to £65,000 p.a. 22 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays. A Company pension scheme or Stakeholder scheme are available
