Project Engineer:

Our Client engineers solutions for safety, control and automation applications in various industries.
Their services include completely integrated systems, panel building, sub assemblies, product development and on-site support for a wide range of applications.

Job Purpose:

Responsible to the Projects Manager, , the Project Engineer will take day to day responsibility for the management of allocated projects to ensure the contract requirements are achieved in the most efficient manner within the specified time-scales and budgets.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
.

  • To design and build engineering solutions to customer specifications, working with the team members; Engineers, Design Engineers, CAD Operators and Documentation Clerks to produce designs, drawings and documentation.


  • To control the time, cost and quality of individual projects.


  • Support the Project Manager in processing client changes to contracts.


  • Liaison with clients to determine their requirements and assist them in the development of their systems requirements.


  • Liaise/communicate with clients, providing progress and feedback as and when required.


  • Coach and support Engineers and Design Engineers to establish best practice.


  • Assist in the development of company design standards applicable to engineering.


  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Assurance Procedures and current legislation / standards.


  • When deadlines are not achieved, analysis of events and feedback to Management to identify problem areas and prevent re-occurrence.


  • Assist in promoting good working relations within teams and between other operating units.


  • Carry out and/or make necessary arrangement for support staff for site visits associated with the projects.



  • Our client actively encourages all members of staff employed in a professional capacity to become members of a professional body, such as the Institute of Measurement & Control or the Institute of Electrical Engineers etc. To this end the Company will fund annual membership of the institute of your choice within the engineering field.



    You work 37.5 hours per week on a flexi time basis

    Salary Details
    depends on experience (cannot advertise due to clients request - so please call to find out)
