Job Profile
Our water/infrastructure team in Altrincham is looking to recruit a Graduate to join their team.


Job Description
The individual will be involved within a drainage design and flood risk assessment capacity within the water/infrastructure team, undertaking pre-planning and design work on a range of large and small scale developments in the North West of England.


Candidate Specification
We are seeking a near chartered civil engineer with experience in drainage design, flood risk assessment, and dealing with utilities, to join our infrastructure team in our Altrincham office to undertake pre-planning, engineering masterplanning and design work on a range of large and small scale developments in the north west area and nationally. The work is interesting and varied, including schemes for developers and land owners, local authorities, Government organisations, as well as energy related clients.

The ideal candidate will have:-
• A degree and experience in civil engineering
• Appropriate numerate and computation skills
• Experience in drainage and external works design, flood risk assessment, including WinDes Microdrainage software
• Experience of working with AutoCAD and PDS or other 3D modelling software packages

This is an opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams, carrying out drainage master planning and related work in Altrincham under the guidance of an Associate Director as part of the support to our established energy unit within Mott MacDonald.

Candidates must also be:-
• Able to carry out technical design and report writing
• Confident at presentations
• Able to use Microsoft Word, Project and Excel
• A team player

Detailed knowledge of Sewers of Adoption, Contract Administration, Project Management, Planning Guidelines, and relevant construction experience is desirable.
