Due to expansion they require a Graduate Transport Planner in their Manchester office to assist with a range of public and private transport projects. With the flexibility of starting part time immediately or full time after degree completion.
The candidate should be able to:
Contribute to the development of the team and the strategic growth of the Transport Planning business. Assist in the delivery of public transport projects in line with existing Mprove practices. Develop, maintain and be responsible for technical based transport library in order to maximise knowledge management. Undertake site visits, take photographs, videos and measurements and prepare other site records as appropriate including provision of inputs to major study areas. Arrange specialist traffics surveys and passenger research in accordance with the project programme. Prepare reports and technical notes on suitable solutions and identified problems. Be responsible for the preparation of plans and diagrams to support proposed solutions, results of analysis or conclusions, as appropriate using CAD and other means. Contribute to effective team working to ensure the delivery of a full range of transport services to the client. Take a proactive approach to your personal development. Qualifications: Degree educated or equivalent.
Knowledge/Experience:
Basic understanding of passenger transport (bus and rail) and client transportation. Awareness of current and pending legislation that impacts on planning and delivery of public transport.
Technical Skills/Ability:
AutoCad (desirable). GIS mapping (desirable). Proficiency with WORD and EXCEL. |
