Waste Management Engineer in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established but expanding waste management team. You will have a good working knowledge of hazardous waste management including classification and treatment. The role will involve providing hazardous waste technical support to a range of projects including audits, due diligence, procurement and remediation on behalf of both private and public sector clients. You will be responsible for client communication and managing client relationships effectively in addition to your technical involvement in projects in areas such as recycling, waste management, plant licensing and engineering operations. Skills and Qualifications: First Degree BSc Environmental/ EngineeringSecond Degree MSc Environmental/Engineering Typically they would expect someone to have gained circa five years or more experience of hazardous waste treatment and management to have the skills and knowledge to be able to undertake this role successfully, but it will be the breadth and depth rather than the length of your experience which will be assessed. Familiarity with waste contract procurement, waste legislation as well as planning, licensing or permitting would also be useful as will consultancy experience.
