Senior Sustainability Consultant
Location: Manchester
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant – preferably with at least 5 years’ experience with an environmental/architectural background – to deliver innovative sustainable engineering solutions to a wide range of projects in a variety of sectors; including retail, education, offices, urban, regeneration, healthcare and housing.
Join BDP and you will be exposed to the full breadth of our Manchester practice, helping to deliver the same high standard of comprehensive and integrated building design services that has seen us become the UK’s leading interdisciplinary practice of sustainability consultants, engineers architects and designers.
Working closely with architects, urban designers, planners, civil engineers and building services engineers, you will need to show flexibility and be capable of organising not only your own time, but also that of a team of CAD technicians and graduates, as well as site investigations and other similar work.
You will need to have a high level skill in communication through visual and verbal presentation and an innate enthusiasm for driving developments towards sustainability, through the practical implementation of the principles of sustainability. With a thorough understanding of environmental, social and economic issues at local, national and global levels, you will be keen to promote the built environment recognising the influence of sustainability and modern technology.
We also have a vacancy for a Senior Sustainability Consultant - Low Carbon Expert – preferably a registered CIBSE low-carbon consultant with at least 5 years’ experience working in the field of low carbon engineering design and a degree in mechanical engineering or building services design engineering, or a Masters qualification.
