We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the water, environmental and energy sectors for a Geotechnical Engineer. Based out of their offices in Cheshire, you would be expected to support a variety of capital investment projects across the UK and overseas.
The role will require you to direct a team of geotechnical specialists in optimising scheme solutions and management of ground risks on Water and Wastewater projects. This will be from feasibility through solution identification and development, design, contract documentation, tender assessment through to construction support.
You will offer management and guidance to staff undertaking desk studies, site investigation, geotechnical interpretation, analysis, design, input to procurement and construction support. You will play a key role in staff development through effective coaching and mentoring to a structured and accreditted training programme.
To be successful in this role you will need to be in regular contact with staff from client and contracting organisations and will therefore need strong technical, communication and commercial skills.
You will also be an academically strong Chartered Engineer with proven project experience a MEng degree in Civil Engineering with strong geotechnical options or have an MSc in a Ground Engineering discipline.
