The Role
Your tasks will be preparing reports and managing client relationships on a project by project basis, as well as keeping up to date with developments in methodology, technology and legislation. Assisting the Project Manager on large and complex projects, whilst also deputising for him at times, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.
You’ll also be responsible for providing marketing assistance of Company and Team services, preparing proposals and undertaking business planning. Another key element will be providing technical direction to graduates whilst also mentoring junior staff.
About you
Alongside experience of rivers or engineering and with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject, you’ll either have or be close to achieving chartered status via MICE or CIWEM.
You’ll also bring the ability to manage work streams and build relationships with clients and colleagues alike. In addition, you’ll be technically competent in fluvial modelling or flood-defence design. You'll have awareness of river / civil engineering / flood risk management industry procedures and best practice and an understanding of project management and commercial aspects of projects.
