We are now seeking Environmental Professionals to join an environmental capability that provides contract R&D and consultancy to major customers within the nuclear decommissioning, clean up and disposal sectors. The capability comprises a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of skills aimed at delivering a diverse service to its customer base. Opportunities now exist for HND/Degree qualified Environmental Professionals at their Risley, Sellafield, Preston and Workington facilities for the following: Environmental Risk Assessment Modeller: You will provide contaminated land, waste and remediation assessment services to their customers. You will be focused upon developing and implementing environmental risk assessment models in support of radioactive and conventional contaminated land and nuclear waste disposal. Ideally experienced in the use of GIS software you should have good knowledge of standard environmental risk assessment software and techniques such as GoldSim, CLEAR and RBCA. Environmental Assessor: You will contribute to the development and delivery of environmental support to customers including optioneering and BPEO studies, BPM/BAT assessments and the production of Environmental Statements. You will possess sound knowledge of Environmental Regulations e.g. RSA, PPC, COMAH and planning regulations gained within a commercial, industrial or regulatory setting. Site Investigation/Environmental Scientist: Your focus will be on the design and implementation of site investigation and environmental monitoring programmes in support of building and decommissioning activities, nuclear site remediation, characterization of contaminated land and disposal of radioactive wastes. Degree qualified you will have a sound understanding of hydrogeological, geological and geochemical aspects of contaminated land management and waste disposal. Hydrogeological Modeller: You will provide technical leadership in groundwater and contaminant land modelling. You will be experienced in using standard software packages such as Modflow, Feflow and Tough2 including modelling porous and fracture flow.
