Salary / Hourly Rate: £30000 - £37000 per annum + CAR + Pension

The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day operational and technical aspects of multi disciplinary energy efficiency projects. This will also include the mentoring of other junior members of the team.
The Senior Consultant will ensure the deliverance of desired project outputs within an agreed client brief, project timescale, budget, and terms and in accordance with the organisation's certified quality and environmental management systems.

The team is currently working on both UK or Globally based projects. Projects will be varied and interesting and will have both strategic and operational improvement programmes with energy focus associated as part of the main project outputs.

Applicants are likely to have a Degree in Chemical, mechanical/electrical or process engineering.
Membership of a relevant professional body is desired however not essential.

Applicants are likely to have one of two background, previous consultancy experience in a similar role or previous manufacturing company experience in the process industry working in process management and improvement programmes.
This should be supplemented with a track record in business development.
Applicants are required to possess considerable experience of managing large single and multi-disciplinary projects. Energy efficiency/energy management experience is ideal.
Experience in any of the following areas is also relevant:
A broad range of technical and people management skills.
Process and energy analysis across a wide range of industries.
Experience of process control systems and process automation.
Process optimisation and development.
Energy management and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Waste minimisation development and implementation.
Knowledge or experience of one or more of the following techniques is desirable: six sigma techniques, TPM, RCM, FMEA or other root-cause techniques.
Development of analysis methods and software for analysing industrial energy consumption and energy saving options
Experience of heat transfer and heat recovery systems.
