Waterman Group, one of the UK’s top 20 firms of consulting engineers are currently seeking an Ecological Consultant to work in our Warrington office.
We employ around 1750 staff in the UK and provide a full range of multidisciplinary services to a wide range of public and private sector clients throughout the UK and internationally.
Within this diverse and challenging role you will be
- Liasing with other teams througout the Waterman Group on related issues
- Invoicing clients on a monthly basis
- Assisting in the preparation of Proofs of Evidence
- Prepare and co-ordinate comprehensive environmental reports
- Act as project manager and keep to QA system
- Undertake Phase 1 habitat surveys unassisted
- Preparing ecological appraisal reports including making recommendations
- Liase with clients and third parties verbally and in writing
To be successful in this role you, should be comfortable in taking notes/minutes at meetings, hold membership to the IEEM, have knowledge of ecological processes, have applied knowledge of the WCA 1981 and Conservation Regulations 1994.
Additionally you should hold at least one statutory authority protected species licence.
