Assistant Geoenvironmental Consultant
My client is an international multi-disciplinary consultancy working with both public and private sector clients on an array of challenging projects across the UK.
They are eagerly looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their expanding Land team.
The role will involve; assisting on contaminated land site investigations, phase 1 and 2 site work and reporting, assessing and clarifying contaminated soil, groundwater and contaminate soil sampling in the laboratories, assisting the technicians on site, water quality monitoring, carrying out desk top studies, chemical waste management, developing remediation techniques and writing up technical reports. You will have a mix of work out on site, in the labs and in the office.
My client is looking for a candidate with a degree in Environmental Geochemistry, Contaminated Land or Chemistry. You must have a full UK driving license and a car in order to travel to site independently although you will be provided with a company van. You must be a quick learner, enthusiastic and possess the ability to develop yourself in a dynamic role. You will be thrown in at the deep end so it is expected you will be able to work competently.
The successful applicant will benefit from a structured training scheme. They also have a policy of personally developing their staff by supporting them to attend seminars, presentations and external courses.
