Structural Cad Technicians
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Structural Technician to work in our Manchester office.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience and abilities:
will hopefully have some relevant experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
some experience of AutoCAD 2D 2002/2005.
Reinforced Concrete and Steel project experience
Good understanding of architecture and a desire to contribute to the built environment
As a Technician you will take responsibility for:
Managing and co-ordinating drawing production within the design team
Liaising with colleagues and architects
Working unsupervised in a demanding environment.
Senior Structural CAD Technician
They require a Senior CAD Technician to work within our Integrated Building Group in our Manchester office. The candidate will have a couple of years experience as a Structural Technician and be a competent user of AutoCAD 2002. Previous experience of 3D is desirable, but willingness to learn/use 3D is essential.

The role/responsibilities for this role are:
Ability to communicate technical subjects
Undertake drawing work including general arrangements and detailing for civil and structural projects
Assist in the development of systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD System is used effectively.
Provide guidance and advice to design engineers and technicians on the planning and management of advanced CAD techniques.
Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved.
Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients best interests and that Buro Happold policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
Be able to inspection of construction works and make visit to construction sites and off site fabrication facilities
Be able to write inspection reports: should be familiar with Microsoft Word
