We have an immediate requirement for a Design Manager for a long term, ongoing contract role based in the Lancashire area working within the nuclear industry.
Our client is one of the leading specialists in the provision of integrated engineering systems and plants providing engineering services including; User requirement specifications, Conceptual Design/General Arrangements and Design Detail for manufacture.
As Project Manager you will be the principal point of contact for clients, representing the company when in meetings with the client, and will be responsible for ensuring that that they are provided with a high standard of service. You will also be the main point of contact for sub-contractors.
As Project Manager, you will work directly with the Managing Director and other team members to prepare offers and proposals for targeted clients and will form appropriate project teams to maintain accurate work loadings and ensure effective team contribution to achieve a successful and profitable project conclusion.
Attending regular senior management meetings, the Project Engineer is expected to make a positive contribution to setting and implementing company policy and identifying potential improvements and notifying Directors of any ideas.
Ideally, candidates will have extensive experience within a Design and Manufacturing environment, in the preparation and co-ordination of activities to carry out the Design, Detail Design, Manufacture, Assembly, Works Test, Installation and Commissioning of specialised bespoke engineering equipment for various industries.
Candidates that have a detailed knowledge of Engineering (Ideally time served) and are educated to Degree level (or equivalent) will be advantageous.
