We have immediate vacancies for Mechanical Designers/Design Engineers for long term contract roles based in the Lancashire area.
Our client provides an in-house, quality assured design manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning service to the nuclear and other high technology market sectors.
Ideally, candidates will have broad based engineering experience in various design and manufacturing environments, along with an in depth understanding of the requirements of CE marking and CDM regulations.
Candidates with experience of working on special purpose machinery, mechanical handling equipment and gloveboxes will be advantageous, as will those with rotating equipment experience.
Candidates should also be fully conversant with AutoCAD software and have good working knowledge of mechanical or electrical principles and techniques.
The successful candidate should be educated to at least HNC level (or equivalent) in an engineering related subject.
