We have an immediate requirement for Mechanical Design Engineers for long term, ongoing contract roles based in the Lancashire area working within the nuclear industry.
Our client is one of the leading specialists in the provision of integrated engineering systems and plants providing engineering services including; User requirement specifications, Conceptual Design/General Arrangements and Design Detail for manufacture.
Working as part of a project specific design team, the successful candidates will have the ability to produce design concepts/layouts that meet with project programmes and budgets while conforming to the relevant British and European standards and client requirements.
All information produced by Design Engineers (ie; Drawings, Specifications, Work instructions etc) should be at a level that enables manufacturing to take place as Design Engineers will be required to provide technical assistance to manufacturing.
Ideally, all candidates should understand the requirements of CE marking and CDM regulations and have detailed knowledge of drawing principles and standards.
Candidates that are educated to at least HNC level (or equivalent) or those with extensive nuclear design experience will be advantageous, as will those with excellent AutoCAD knowledge.
