Hydraulic Design Engineer – Sub-sea equipment - based Northumberland - salary £25K - £40K
We are looking for a Hydraulic Design Engineer with hydraulic design experience preferably with sub-sea equipment to work for a company in the oil, gas and defence industry.
The 'hydraulic' design function is the primary actuation of most of the company’s equipment, above and below sea level and the job Hydraulic Design Engineer will begin at the tender stage, interpreting the client's requirements and developing the solution as the mechanical design evolves.
The Hydraulic Design Engineer will be involved in the process from circuit design to commissioning and has to be capable of providing attention to detail to achieve the tight project times.
The scope of the work will range from 450mm bore x 4m stroke cylinders with flows of 5000litres/min to tiny compensators and the work will take place against challenging schedules, with suppliers, to obtain the parts, plan and implement component testing and then build the hydraulic system around the mechanical one, with a high standard of cleanliness.
After integration with the control systems the company follow with system testing and installation and provide operations support including top class documentation
