We are looking for two Senior Electrical Engineers with a good all round knowledge of electrical requirements for heavy engineering (preferably Iron & Steel but not essential) to work for one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry.
The Senior Electrical Engineers will need background knowledge of Instrumentation/Control and instrumentation engineering as well as project management and a working knowledge of BS, IEC, NEMA and EU standards
A background in design in both in office and site environments is desirable as is a sound working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel. AutoCAD would be a plus but not essential
Working in the Iron & Steel Business Unit, the day to day duties of the Senior Electrical Engineers will include:
* Preparing detailed cost and man-hour estimates
* Preparing basic Electrical equipment specifications for enquiry / tender purposes
* Preparing tender documentation, written specifications and scope of work documents.
* Attending client / contractor meetings
* Preparing detailed electrical documentation including:-
* Preparing information for purchase of Electrical equipment
* Leading medium to large projects
* Undertaking Site survey work
* Supervising installation sub-contractors at site during installation and commissioning.
* Carrying out commissioning of Electrical equipment.
All candidates for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer must have a flexible approach and be able to work with a multi-discipline team
Overseas experience and experience of working with different cultures would be an advantage.
All candidates must have a current Driving Licence and passport and be able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
