We are looking for a Technical Centre Project Manager with strong airport systems experience to work for an independent consulting and technology solutions company
The Technical Centre Project Manager will be required to work initially at an airport in Abu Dhabi managing the airport technical centre and taking responsibility for the development and test of the airport systems that are under his/her control.
Candidates for the position of Technical Centre Project Manager must be able to validate the suppliers' designs and check their conformance with appropriate standards as well as leading the design and implementation of the Technical Centre on behalf of he consultancy's client.
Strong airport systems and technical / data centre experience is essential
Candidates should have a good engineering degree (or equivalent), preferably in Systems Engineering, Computing Science, Software Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
Knowledge/overview of system design and development, Requirements elucidation, Specification preparation, tender preparation and evaluation, control of system and software developments, interface and acceptance testing and hand-over will be required.
Candidates must be commercially aware and able to identify business opportunities and have experience of some of the required airport systems as well as a broad knowledge of systems and software development methods and environments and Project Management experience.
You should be highly motivated and adaptable to change, able to make decisions and drive things forward. A solid electrical/electronic/software engineering skill set and IT experience backed by the ability to think beyond the current requirements, and manage customer expectations effectively is required.
