MEP Project Manager - UAE
With a total investment of AED4.5 billion, my client is developing a 531 hectare development in the UAE. Residential units will range from luxury villas and spacious semi-detached houses to townhouses and apartments with views overlooking the golf course The development will also feature a beach hotel, golf hotel, beach clubs, equestrian facilities, retail and entertainment and a community and recreation centre.
They are looking to recruit a Project Manager MEP
You will be responsible for:
• Co-ordination of effective & pro-active management of the MEP construction activities including all technical submittals process
• In association with the Consultants and Client, identify latest technologies suitable for use on the project
• Promote ‘commonality' in the selection of equipment & materials, project wide, to benefit the end user.
• Co-ordination of MEP activities with construction & ‘fit-out' / finishes works.
•Witnessing of factory inspections for major equipment, in conjunction with the Consultants.
•Provide technical support for construction activities, as directed by the Project Director
•Identify best practice and pre-fabrication/standardisation for MEP works and use of effective
standard forms and matrix for all processes.
Profile:
Detailed engineering and construction process knowledge in air conditioning, electrical, fire fighting and plumbing services for commercial and light industrial building.
•Outline knowledge of civil and architectural design.
•Knowledge of the overall construction processes and operating practices in the GCC area.
•Detailed understanding of the UAE construction and particularly the MEP market with hands on knowledge of prices, rates and contract procedures.
•Understanding of budget control and management reporting procedures.
•Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
•Planning ability to work in a structured manner and prioritise requirements.
•Knowledge of the forms of contract used in the GCC area, their requirements and interpretation.
•Knowledge of commercial and quantity surveying standards and practices in the GCC area.
•Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements at all levels.
•Ability to foster a co-operative business environment.
•Prepare and present presentations at all levels.
•Developed computer skill particularly in spreadsheets, databases and planning tools.
•Knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi construction and MEP codes of practice and regulations.
•Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
•Ability to read, understand and interoperate drawings, specifications and contract documents
The Package:
My client will offer an excellent package for the suitable candidate. Basic Salary will be £60,000 - £75,000 + accommodation + car + medical + flights + schooling
