Reports to: Division Director, Projects Delivery
Job Purpose: • Managing project costs and monitoring cost analysis • Monitoring project progress through dashboards
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development of methods and procedures to cover project planning, project cost estimating, project cost control and project budget preparation and administration • Oversee the preparation of early stage budgets and detailed cost plans • Monitor the preparation of bills of quantity across relevant development projects • Design, engineer and lead the development of project control systems to ensure adequate levels of support are provided for the execution of projects and that a sufficiently detailed database is built up for monitoring ongoing projects • Oversee and track programs and project progress across relevant development projects and ensure all activities related to project implementation are carried out • Advise on strategies for material procurement for all engineering projects, including establishing procedures to adequately monitor and control the tendering and procurement of materials in order to meet project completion schedules • Monitor project progress and ensure progress reporting captures all relevant progress information; continuously update project control systems on an ad-hoc basis to overcome inefficiencies in project control systems
Job Requirements: Education –Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience –10+ years working experience preferably in project management with the last 5 years in a management position –Experience in leading the development of project control systems –Project Management certification recognized by leading Project Management organizations (e.g., Project Management Professional certification issued by the Project Management Institute) desired
