Responsibilities • Responsible for maintaining and updating of the contract schedules. • Responsible for site record keeping. • Reporting of project progress status. • Advise on effects of design changes on contract programme. • Advise on effects of value engineering proposals on contract programme. • Assist in scheduling aspects of financial control. • Handling of all contractors submittals.
Duties • Attends and minutes weekly progress meetings • Chairs and minutes weekly scheduling meetings • Maintain logs and produces - Document Control Electronic Listing (DCEL) • Oversees recording of site progress • Maintains project diary. • Prepares internal weekly and monthly progress reports. • Attends subcommittee meetings to advise on scheduling
Reporting and Interface The Planning Engineer reports to the Project Manager and interfaces with the APM, all section heads and the Contract Administrator Job requirements Planning Engineer/Scheduler
Person Specification:
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of Primevera and other planning programmes. • Must have at least 3 years experience as a planner/scheduler in civil and/or structural construction projects. • Must have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft computer programmes Word, and Excel. • Must be able to work under own initiative and be able to converse and write fluently in English.
