My client, one of the world's top design firms, currently has a requirement for 3 Senior Mechanical Engineers within their Kuwait office.
The successful candidate will;
- Make design decisions and recommendations coordinated with the project requirements that establish the basic design solution
- Direct the work of other engineers and drafters relative to the project requirements
- Work in a multi-discipline environment sharing and coordinating work to meet the project goals
- Establish project staffing and schedule requirements and be responsible for meeting the objectives
- Work closely with other team members and the project manager
- Interface in a professional manner with clients to represent the firm and the project
- Represent firm in workshops and meetings to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work
- Provide analysis of difficult problems involving unusual technical complexity
- Make routine decisions governed by established project standards or project instructions
- Provide guidance to other designers, drafters and engineers
- Consistently estimate accurate completion time of own assignments and effectively coordinate with project team and across disciplines
- Regularly demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with other team members
Essential requirements are:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or associated discipline
- Knowledge of designing HVAC, water supply, drainage, fire fighting and other mechanical systems design.
- A strong understanding of water cooled plants as well as air cooled plants and pumping system.
- Being capable of technical research and studies.
- Specifications and BOQ preparation
- Project design verification.
Desired requirements are;
- Knowledge of local regulations such as DM, DEWA, SEWA, Sharjah Municipality and JAFZA.
- Knowledge of British Standard and NFPA.
