This highly regarded paper converting and packaging company are part of a global group of engineering businesses enabling them to provide excellent levels of customer service and high quality precision machinery on a global scale. They currently require an experienced field service engineer able to travel internationally.
Responsible for the electrical and mechanical aspects of machinery installations, service call outs and commissioning projects both in the UK and overseas (mainly overseas) the right candidate will possess excellent problem solving and practical engineering abilities with various automated equipment including: PLC systems (fault find and program modifications) ream wrapping machines, labellers, cutting machinery, inspection and measurement equipment, stackers, (accumulators), case erectors and case labellers. Some experience with robotic palletising systems would also be an advantage.
The company require a committed engineer who is familiar with the paper industry, is willing to travel and is able to communicate at a high level. Ideally the candidate will be qualified within a relevant electrical discipline and possess experience gained in a similar position.
Occasional Installation and commissioning projects can require extended stays away from home for up to 4 months and the requirement to travel can equate to up to 200 days a year away from home.
