A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager, Gas Turbine & Compressor Development to join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure.
The Power Division based in the beautiful town of Baden, Switzerland is a large and well-established company specialising in electricity generation equipment and services. Through the development of advanced public transport and cleaner electric power production, they are helping to address some of the key issues that face the planet today.
They are currently looking for a Project Manager, Gas Turbine and Compressor Development to lead a multidisciplinary turbine and/or compressor development team towards the achievement of technical, schedule and budget targets.
In order to achieve these targets, you will prepare and define the scope of development in synchronization with engine development programs. You will also define technical and cost specifications for the development work and manage technical risks and required effort and manpower. You will generate hardware procurement schedules and manage validation activities as well as coordinate and/or participate in technical reviews on component and engine level. Furthermore, you will identify and manage interfaces to other disciplines and component development organizations and contribute to the planning and prioritization of knowledge growth activities within the engineering organization.
Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline, you will have some relevant professional experience, ideally in the power generation industry as well as extensive project management experience. An open-minded team player with the ability to communicate clearly across different levels, you will have an excellent understanding of gas turbines combined with a good understanding of power plants.
German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
Famous for its thermal baths and historic town centre, the small but lively town of Baden is situated just twenty minutes from Zurich and the airport.
