Job Summary
Our client, a leading global engineering organisation are looking for a chartered (or close to being chartered) engineer to take up this top level management post that will be based in their UAE offices that are undergoing phenomenal growth due to the amount of government spending here on major infrastructure projects. The Asset Management / Engineering Group is under particular demand for growth, and an ambitious professional engineer is required to occupy a project director role, and deliver business incorporating assessment of asset types and lifecycle modelling of infrastructure assets as well as asset management.
Key Responsibilities
The primary job purpose is to: • Manage / direct a range of projects and their associated teams. • Ensure profitability and build client relations whilst delivering projects. • Be responsible for ensuring maximum commercial return for projects. • Lead delivery of asset management projects covering a wide range of assets; civil infrastructure, building and petrochemical assets. Role Priorities / Drivers: • Understanding of what is important for the company and its clients. • Planning and managing the projects inputs and deliverables to meet the requirements of all stakeholders. • Ensuring the continued quality of work delivered by employing best practice at all times. • Ability to present complicated concepts to international clients. • Develop existing and new market opportunities. • Ensure development of junior staff.
Qualifications
• First-class degree in civil infrastructure related area gained from a reputable firm. • Chartered Engineer status or within 18 months of becoming chartered. • Significant experience at either Project Management or Project Director Level within a consulting environment. • Experience in at least one of the following: Asset Management, Asset Engineering, Concrete Technology, or Corrosion.
