As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be involved with the development of new aftermarket products to improve performance of existing gas turbines. You will also assist in improvements in manufacturability and production of existing APM components. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will contribute to product development to produce components on time that fulfil market requirements regarding performance, quality and costs.
As Senior Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include the application of gas turbine performance prediction methods to model and analyze industrial gas turbines. You will provide product support in solving production problems with existing APM parts and in improving manufacturability. You will also participate in product design reviews. Furthermore you will provide support in creating and maintaining process and product specifications, validation of analysis tools through laboratory and field testing of relevant products and components and of Design, Quality, Supply Chain and Customer Service Groups in answering technology questions and solving generic problems.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will require a degree in Mechanical Engineering or hold equivalent experience. You will have experience as a Mechanical Engineer in power generation or turbo-machinery related field engineering. You will also require gas turbine –related knowledge of performance and manufacture of hot-gas-path components. Knowledge and experience in the application of gas turbine performance software is also necessary. Successful candidates will also require well-developed skills in project management and problem solving techniques.
