MANUFACTURING SUPPORT ENGINEER GAS & STEAM TURBINES FOR POWER GENERATION BADEN, SWITZERLAND
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure.
The Power Division based in the beautiful town of Baden, Switzerland is a large and well-established company specialising in electricity generation equipment and services. Through the development of advanced public transport and cleaner electric power production, they are helping to address some of the key issues that face the planet today.
They are currently looking for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to provide manufacturing and cost expertise for turbine and compressor parts within the Turbine and Compressor Development department (TGNTT).
As Manufacturing Support Engineer, you will interface with internal and external suppliers regarding new development programs and with a view to resolving production issues. You will also release manufacturing-related design specifications, develop manufacturing technical programs, review and enhance production documents in view of manufacturability, identify and define missing manufacturing technologies and support design teams regarding the disposition of non-conformances.
Qualified to HND or degree level in engineering or manufacturing with six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification, you will have some experience in the field of turbine and compressor manufacturing methods and design quality process management (statistics and process capability). You will also have supply chain and procurement knowledge as well as knowledge of design to cost methodology. An open-minded team player with strong facilitation and conflict management skills, you will have excellent communication and decision-making abilities. German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
