MANAGER – SOURCING PERFORMANCE PROJECTS GAS & STEAM TURBINES FOR POWER GENERATION BADEN, SWITZERLAND
A Manager of Sourcing Performance Projects is now required to join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure based in the beautiful town of Baden in Switzerland. As Manager of Sourcing Performance Projects you will report to the Sourcing Performance Director. Your role will be to increase end-user adoption of the e-Sourcing tool for both buyers and suppliers, conduct online enquiries and proposals on behalf of the buyer and take an active role in Sourcing Performance reporting projects.
As the Manager of Sourcing Performance Projects you will conduct supplier auctions for goods and services and undertake training and e-Sourcing administration for new users. You will be responsible for relationship Management of Internal TMG Users and actively take part in Sourcing Performance Reporting projects (Data Management, KPIs, Communication). Furthermore you will also support Market Intelligence in providing relevant information on latest developments in the Power Generation industrial supplier markets and promote the interests and image of the company at all times.
Successful candidates will hold a relevant Engineering or Business Studies qualification. You may also hold an MBA or have had international participation in higher education. You will require experience in a sourcing, supply chain or procurement related function. International experience would be advantageous. Knowledge/ expertise of e-Sourcing systems (RFX, SPM, Contracts, Spend Management); conducting RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and auctions and experience in procurement or marketing research are necessary. You will also need project management experience as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience of procurement, SAP, issuing purchase orders, goods received for example would be useful. Knowledge/ expertise in data management would also be advantageous for this role. You will be fluent in English and any additional languages would be very useful for example French, German, Spanish or Chinese.
Leadership skills, the ability to influence and gain consensus amongst diverse groups of people are required for this role. You will also have good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and to meet due dates. You will be a strategic thinker and have the ability to meet short terms results while working towards long term goals. You will be comfortable and calm in diverse, large groups and senior management.
German language classes will be on offer at an onsite language school and a willingness to learn is essential.
