A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Development Engineer, Turbine and Compressor Components to join the Power division of one of the world leaders in transport and energy infrastructure.
The Power Division in Baden, Switzerland is a large and well-established company specialising in electricity generation equipment and services. Through the development of advanced public transport and cleaner electric power production, they are helping to address some of the key issues that face the planet today.
They are currently looking for a Development Engineer, Turbine and Compressor Components to take responsibility for structural mechanics analyses and lifetime assessments of their turbine and compressor components. As Development Engineer you will be required to provide creative solutions to mechanical integrity problems and interface with other technical disciplines to determine design solutions. You will also participate in the development of tools and processes to further improve designs and design work.
Qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering, you will ideally have some experience in a similar position. A dedicated team player, you must have sound knowledge and experience in the areas of structural mechanics analysis, engineering mechanics and materials. CAD, Abaqus and thermodynamics know-how would be an asset.
