We are looking for Signal Designers to work for a specialist signalling contractor - roles are based in Derby, Birmingham and York. ·Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements. ·Report to Principle Designer/Design Verifier/Senior Design Engineer for guidance and instruction as required. ·Produce design calculations and drawings. ·Direct assisting design personnel and other personnel as required. ·Contribute to the production of design investigations, reports and specifications. ·Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards. ·Initially check work produced by one’s self or more junior staff. ·Ensure project change for design package is fully Implemented and recorded ·Undertake work using formal processes and procedures. ·Manage and record time and assist in providing time estimates for tasks ·Interface with testing, installation and other departments as necessary. Assist with testing and commissioning Required Skills and Experience: ·PTS 1.1.110 or 1.1.150 IRSE Design Licence ·ONC level education in an engineering discipline, with experience ·Knowledge of railway construction methods and materials used. ·Knowledge of Group and company standards and procedures and HSE legislation. ·Good office applications and CAD and CAD standards knowledge. ·Ability to plan and produce compliant signalling schemes with minimum supervision. ·Knowledge of ·Signalling principles. ·Circuits and components Implications of working with other disciplines |
