We are currently seeking a Master Planner / Urban Designer to work in Dubai on the design of cutting edge and presitgious projects in the Middle East.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their skills in a high profile environment at some of the worlds most desireable locations.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven skills within Master Planning / Urban Design and been keen to make a significant input to exciting and 1st class projects.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field and any combination of training and experience equivalent to two years of planning experience working with the review of development proposals and plans, interpreting and reading various plan types (aerials, site plans, elevations, landscape, commercial and grading and drainage plans), conducting general planning related research, and interpreting codes and ordinances. A Master’s Degree would be a distinct advantage.
Graduate Degree in Urban Planning, or a closely related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
Qualified individuals will be expected to have a strong background in sustainable urban planning, economic development, building and zoning, archaeological preservation, code enforcement, and administrative leadership with a minimum of five to ten years experience in a project management position in a community of comparable size and complexity.
Ideally the candidate to be LEED AP or have the capacity to go through the LEED Accreditation upon engagement with Waterman.
