Reports to: Manager, Design Coordinator
Job Purpose:
• Ensuring that all interior designs for the city are in line with the development’s value proposition and meet the city’s sustainability vision
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed design reviews of all interior designs of all types of property in the city to ensure that they enable the city meet the sustainability vision of the company, meet best-practice health and safety standards, and enhance the city’s value proposition
• Coordinate with the Senior Architect to carry out architectural design modifications as deemed necessary to meet the city’s sustainability vision
• Manage all interior design consultants on a day-to-day basis to ensure that interior designs and technical drawings will be carried out appropriately and aligned with the approved designs
• Conduct technical drawing reviews and follow up with contractors progress to monitor that implementation efforts are aligned with technical drawings
• Collaborate with project managers to identify and flag interior design issues
• Support the Building Design Manager in solving interior design implementation technical issues by attending coordination meetings, proposing and validating viable technical workarounds to the Building Design Manager and ensuring their implementation
• Understand and implement document control procedures for design processes, technical drawing, cross-functional and external technical coordination meetings and agreements reached
• Take responsibility for and manage the various stages of the design process expediently, economically and efficiently
Job Requirements:
Education
–A minimum of a Bachelor in interior design
Experience
–3+ years of experience that is directly related interior design, preferably in sustainable designs
–Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Freehand, Illustrator & Microsoft Office Applications
